Farve Talk Already

I think that Peter King is getting bored or something, because he has sparked Viking-Favre talk. Peter King was on PTI and was asked if he thinks that Favre will be back next season. He said: That he thinks that Farve has had enough of playing in the NFL. King then hedged his bet by saying that Favre still believes he can play but “won’t play if he can’t play where he really wants to play.” When asked where that might be, King said he had a “gut feeling” that he’d like to play for the Vikings.
This is all speculation from the biggest Farve ass kissed you will ever see.I just hope that he is not correct with the Farve speculation. I do not think that he is what he use to be. Look at what happened to him in the last quarter of the season when the Jets imploded. Just think of it if the Vikes had a good QB play, we would not have to worry about all this speculation again this offseason. It will be crazy one again this season I guess.

Super Bowl Prep

With the Super Bowl coming up in a little over a week, there is much debate over the Cards and the Steelers. It is the most unlikely match-up to happen for this years' Super Bowl. In the beginning of the season the Cards had a 50-1 in making it to Tampa Bay and compare that to the Steelers 15-1.
This year it looks like the underdog story will be beat to death. The Cards never been to the big game and new experience for all their fans. The Steelers are use to the winning tradition over the years' they are one of the most storied organization in NFL history. Many of them know what do and say during Super Bowl week.
In the game, it will be will the Pittsburgh smash mouth league leading defense against the Arizona high flying passing attack of the Kurt Warner. I think this will be the difference in the game. All the nation will see who can stick to the game plan during the game.

Fraizer May Be Back

With Leslie Frazier being bypassed for the 2nd year in a row for a head coaching position. The Rams announced that the defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will be thier man to lead St. Louis next season and not Jim Haslett or Leslie Frazier. He may be back with the Vikes next season as the DC/AC. With team like Tenneesse or the NY Giants now looking for coodinators for the defnese. Who knows what is going to happen? I hope that he stays with us as the DC at least one more season. He has built a damn good balanced defense for the Vikes.

Frazier's Return

It looks like that the Vikes have a good chance in loosing their defensive coordinator. He is in the top tier on several head coaching positions. The Rams have skipped the 1st interview and put him in their finalist list and the Lions and the Jets have shown interest in him as a head coach as well. If that happens in which will be a VERY good possibility. Who would the candidates for the the DC be make a person wonder, what direction on defense would the Vikes take if this goes as planned.

Viking Despair: Eagles 26 Vikes 14

Eagles-Vikings Boxscore

There was a reason why the Eagles were favored in this game that was played at the Thunderdome. The Eagles have something that the Viking have had a big question mark all season a NFL starting QB.
The Vikes were without a couple of key players in this game: Phat Pat Williams, Ray Edwards, and Artis Hicks. This game was a defensive battle most of the game. There were two KEY plays that the Eagles made that did the Vikes in. The interception for a touchdown thrown by Tarvaris Jackson and the 71 yard touchdown screen pass to Brian Westbrook in the fourth quarter that put the final nail in the coffin for the Vikes season.
In the first half, the Viking offense was dong okay, but in the second half the Eagles defense really got to Jackson. For the game, he was 15-35 164 yards passing 1INT(went for a TD). The way that Jackson played just showned Viking fan that he clearly is not that answer at the quarterback position.
Adrain Peterson had a good day against a decent Eagles team. He ran for 83 yards two touchdowns(44,3), but both were in the first half.

The special teams were not help either with the Eagles having good field postion most of the game with the contrubition of DeSean Jackson.

The defense played a solid game most of the night with the exception of the Brain Westbrook 71 yard touchdown reception. Jared Allen was a freak on a leash with two sacks a forced fumbled that Fred Evans recovered. Inside a minute, Cedric Griffin interception a McNabb pass. Even without Phat pat the Eagles were not able to run the ball much at all, they had a couple of nice runs bur nothing they could keep going. McNabb had a good game against the Vikes again passing for 300 yards.

With the questions of what the Vikes will be doing at the QB position still remain. Will the Vikes take a closer look at John David Booty, give up 2 1st round draft picks Matt Cassel, free agentcy or try drafting an unproven rookie QB.
The season was a roller coaster one as always with the Vikes up and down. Now it is down for a couple more months. This season, they won the NFC North (the first title in 8 years), made the playoffs(1st in 4 years),Adrain Peterson won the rushing title(1st Viking ever to do this),Berrain and Allen performed worth what the Vikes signed for them.Overall, it was kind of disappointing, because any fan wants their team to go and win the Super Bowl, but they did make the playoffs. We shall see what next year will hold for us.
