I was yesterday, that John Madden has stepped down as NFL broadcaster. After 30 years, 16 Emmy Awards and stops at CBS, Fox, ABC and NBC, Madden surprised many by calling it quits. Cris Collinsworth, will be moving from the studio to announce in Maddens' place with Al Davis on Sunday night Football.
It is going to weird not see him in the announcing booth with the years to come. Good things must come to an end. Madden ended his career by announcing the Super Bowl in February. Like in coaching(103-32-7 record before retiring after the 1978 season. His Raiders beat the Vikings in Super Bowl XI.), Madden hung it up while he was on top, once again.
