Vikings Cornerback Charles Gordon signed a 1 year deal yesterday. He was to become a free agent on Thurday at 11 PM. As many of people remeber the way that his 2008 season ended was in the Vikings' 28-27 victory over Green Bay on Nov. 9 when he suffered a gruesome injury to his left ankle on a punt return at the Metrodome. Gordon was the Vikings nickel back for the Vikes last season.
The Vikings organization are hoping for Gordon be be back full strength by the time the mini camps are starting for the position players as long rehab goes well. Gordon is expected to receive a base salary of about $530,000, with a chance to earn another $500,000 in incentives.
