Not Our King

It seems that we have come to that time of the ridiculous predictions. If you guys have not seen SI's  "expert" in Peter King's power rankings. I guess it seems that the Vikings are much different team this season. Many people would think that the Vikes are a top 5 team this team that has the ability to contend.

King has the Vikes listed at 13, that is correct I did not mistype. Here are team ahead of us 1-12, Green Bay, San Diego, Baltimore, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Miami, NY Jets, Carolina, NY Giants, Dallas, Seattle and Pittsburgh.

In King defense, he stated that is is not that great preseason predictor of a teams success. Really he could have fooled me.He picked the Bears to make the Super Bowl last season last season and the Saints to barely make it out of the basement of their division.

I do not claim to be an expert with  Power Rankings, but I do call people out when they make a bogus prediction. So this is one of those times right now.

Some of the teams yes, they might be better than the Vikes. I do not think there is no 12 teams superior to the Vikes in 2010. This is going to be another disappointing season for King's preseason Power Rankings. The concerns I have for the Vikes are the  DB's and the likely suspensions of the Williams Wall. Those are the areas that are questionable this season and will make or break the Vikes this season.There may be a reason why he is a Monday Morning QB rather than a Sunday NFL Analyst.
