The Vikings are in good position to take the lead in NFC North, with a win at home against the Bears on Primetime. The Vikes will be giving the Bears a good dose of the run mostly with Adrian Peterson of course. In the last five starts he has been averaging 124 yards a game. With the game that he had last season against the Bears all Viking fan hope that he can have another one like that.
The inconsistency of the passing game is worrisome in the streak the Vikes have been on. The Vikes better not rely on Frerotte to win this game. All the Vikes need is to be able to manage to game. All the Vikes need from him is keep the Bears unsure what the Vikes will do next.
The Viking defense needs to stop Orton and Forte: PLAIN AND SIMPLE. The Viking pass rush needs to find some way to get to Orton they way that Rodgers was rattled most of the game a couple of week back. Do not allow him to feel comfort in pocket and make good reads. The Vikes need to stop Matt Forte the way they did in Chicago.
If the Vikes win this game, then they would potentially hold their own destiny to make the playoffs.
