When the Viking rolled in KC, they knew that it was a winnable game. This game again was the tale of two halves. The Vikings lost for the second week in a row 13-10. We had 3rd string quarterback directing the offense in this game, due to T-Jack being out with a groin injury. Kelly Holcomb did a decent job under center. The problem with the offense was the line played like shit. I could not believe the amount of times that the Chief defenders were in the backfield. When Holcomb did have time he went for 14 for 28, 165 yards, 0 TDs and 0 INTs. Which is not that bad considering that averaging about 3 ints per game before this one. We need a passing game in a hurry or I do not think we will have much of a season.
Our rushing attack is a totally different story. With Adrian Peterson in the backfield, he is marvelous. So far he has two 100+ yard rushing games this season. This a great time for him to shine with our lack of a passing game and Taylor out of the lineup for the last two weeks. AP had the lone spark of offense production in the KC game.
The defense had do so much this year it is unbelievable. If they are not scoring touchdowns they are stopping the run. With one of the best run stoppers in the league the Williamses. Only allowing about 70 per game this year. We need some help with the pass coverage. That is the only fault of out D. We held Larry Johnson (one NFL's best RBs last season) to under 50 yards. The late TD pass given up to the mismatched Cedric Griffin to Dwayne Bowe was what shot us in the foot.
Next up is ": the Packers(3-0) @ Minnesota(1-2)

Vikings -Lions Post Game
With the Vikings rolling into Detroit hoping to go 2-0. It was not meant to be. The Viking were dealt with a 20-17 OT loss. The offense was horrible on the this day. Considering that he throw 4 ints. It would have been nice if he could have had some time to throw the ball. This Lions D is not the best in the league, it is mediocre at best.
The Vikes defense knocked out Kitna majority of the game. Here came in JT O’Sullivan, he did a pretty good job to give us the win with 2 ints(one of those going for a TD) and a fumble.
The Vikes had a chance to win this game with a field at the end of regulation. Ryan Longwell came in the kick a 52 yarder. The kick looked like it was going to be good. Then it took a drastic turn to goal post..DONK...no good. Must have been the wind.
Jackson hurt his groin and could not play in OT. So we had Brooks at the helm. He was doing decent until he fumbled the ball on a third down. The Lions drove down the field for the game win field goal. The lone spank of offense power goes to Adrian Peterson. He 20 carries for 66 yards and caught four balls for 52 yards.

Week 2 preview
Minnesota @ Detroit
With the Vikings coming off a cakewalk of a win at Atlanta. They know heard to nearby Detroit. There they will be doing battle with the Lions. The Lions offense really worries me. With Mike at the Offensive Coordinator, he knows how to pick apart decent pass defenses. Face it we have not really had a really good pass defense is a number of years. The run defense I know that we can contain the RBs with our Williamses Run Stop Tandem we have. If we can get to Jon Kitna and keep pressure on him. I think that we will have a good chance to win. With the offense , with T-Jack at the helm. He directed the offense well for this being his 3rd start in his career. The Vikes are lucky that Peterson picked up the slack in the run game. But Coach Childress wants to have a dual power running game. With the hip injury to Taylor, it seems that Peterson will get the bulk of the carries again in Detroit.Come Sunday we will all see what happens when these two NFC North team dual this one out.

Week 1: Atlanta @ Minnesota
Adrian Peterson was put in as a full duty starter when Chester Taylor when down in the 1st quarter with an injured hip. Peterson carried the load for the Viking running attack. He rushed the ball 19 times for 103 years(5.4 ypc). Peterson also had an amazing 60 yard touchdown scamper. Vikings starting QB Tarvaris Jackson when 13-23 for 163 yards 1 int, 1 td. The Vikings D came to play and brutalized the Falcons offense for 24-3 final score. In every game I will nominate the MVV(Most Valuable Viking)
