Week 1: Atlanta @ Minnesota

The Viking D overwhelmed Joey Harrington and the Falcons offense. The defense sacks Harrington 6 times with 2 interception returned for touchdowns. One INT was returned by Kevin Williams for 54 yards and the other by Antonio Winfield from a bobbled pass from Micheal Jenkins for a 14 yard score.
Adrian Peterson was put in as a full duty starter when Chester Taylor when down in the 1st quarter with an injured hip. Peterson carried the load for the Viking running attack. He rushed the ball 19 times for 103 years(5.4 ypc). Peterson also had an amazing 60 yard touchdown scamper. Vikings starting QB Tarvaris Jackson when 13-23 for 163 yards 1 int, 1 td. The Vikings D came to play and brutalized the Falcons offense for 24-3 final score. In every game I will nominate the MVV(Most Valuable Viking)
