Randy Moss Is Coming Home Boys!!!

No we Viking fans are not dreaming it has come true. With an receiving corps that currently does not have a true deep threat in the passing game. The Vikings knew that they needed to get one in there. So a couple of weeks ago, the Vikes tried to acquired Vincent Jackson for the Chargers as that guy. Lucky, for the Vikes that class prick AJ Smith want to much that any team would be willing to give up.


Head down the road a couple of weeks. There was word that the Vikes and Patriots were talking about a possible trade for former Viking Randy Moss. The deal was officially announced this morning, that both team agreed on the terms of the Pats sending Randy Moss to the Vikes in exchange for a 2011 3rd round pick.  

It looks like Moss will be playing in two straight Monday Night Football games. Now the Vikes have a legit deep threat at the receiver position, while Rice is out. It will be interesting to see how Moss will impact the Vikes this season.

Sage is Traded

The Minnesota Vikings sends Sage Rosenfels and Darius Reynaud packing to New York Giants in exchange for a draft pick for the 2011 and 2012 drafts. With this news at least Sage will be a backup QB a place where is deserves to be.

Now it looks like the Vikes have all the trust in T-Jack as their backup QB behind Favre. We can pretty much say that Webb will not be on the field as a QB this season. He is light years behind T-Jack and Favre.


I will say this now, if Favre does go down(crossing my fingers that he does not) the Vikes will be sorry for trading the better player out the two. T-Jack should be the one packing his bags instead of Sage.

There is a reason why how is called T-Choke and it not like he cannot swallow food properly.When he gets into games and the pocket collapse and is like a deer in head lights. This is just another way for Chilly to keep his "project quarterback".

Viking Trade Rumors

The Minnesota Vikings and the Houston Texans are reported to having a trade in the works. The Vike are in need of a QB and the Texans are willing to unload one. The Vikes were going after Sage Rosenfels last season when the deal fell through, the Vikes offered Houston a third-round pick for Rosenfels last February, but the Texans asked for a second-rounder.
It looks like both clubs will try to make a second go at it. It reported that the Vikings would be their 4th round pick to Houston for Sage Rosenfels. Nothing can be official until 11PM Thursday night, because this when Free Agency begins.
With this addition,Rosenfels would leave Gus Frerotte would be the odd man out.Rosenfels would be an upgrade to what the Vikes have at the Quarterback position right now. He would be one of the better QBs in the Chilly era that is for certain. With this addition Rosenfels would compete for the starting job with Tarvaris Jackson and in all likelihood win the job. Rosenfels is what the Vikes would want in a QB a player to manage the game and not throw the game away.Giving up a fourth rounder isn’t too high of a price and he does have some experience.

Here are some of Rosenfels highlights:

• In 2005, Rosenfels led the Dolphins to their biggest comeback in 31 years, rallying them from 20 points down in the fourth quarter to a 24-23 victory over Buffalo. Rosenfels directed touchdown drives of 70, 49 and 73 yards, with the winning score coming on a 4-yard TD pass to Chris Chambers on fourth down with 6 seconds left.
• In 2007 with Houston, Rosenfels tied an NFL record with four fourth-quarter TD passes, and he also threw a two-point conversion, but the Texans lost to Tennessee 38-36 on Rob Bironas' record eighth field goal of the game.

It sounds like this deal will be set for the opening of Free Agency.

Moss Traded again

The former 1st round pick of Minnesota, Randy Moss is traded once again. He was dealt to the New England Patriots this morning. He was worth a meer 4th round pick. After two year his stock sure has taken a deep dive. He was at Oakland for two seasons, they really did not have a reliable passing game over there. Now he is a Patriot, he better be ready. Ready for a cleaning of the character. Pat's Coach Bill Belichick will try to clean up Moss's off and on the field issues. But you watch and see how clean a player Moss becomes in New England. All the moaning and complaining and loafing and lack of production he's had at times in his two other stops in the NFL will stop with the Patriots. The whining he did at Minnesota and Oakland will not be tolerated in the New England locker room. If Moss does get cleaned up, the Pats passing game will be down right scary. With him on one side and newly acquired Donte' Stallworth on the other side. People still wonder if Moss still gives the dense secondary that same fear, that he use to. Every NFL fan will see what happens with some of the risky moves that Pats made this past offseason.
