It seems that Chester Pitts, an offensive guard and was the second round draft pick by the Houston Texans. He has since become the only player in Houston Texans history to play every game for the franchise since it began. He suffered a right knee injury that required microfracture surgery.
Chester Pitts is currently a free agent.Pitts was suppose to hold a workout for teams that are interested on July15, but it is reported that it is not going to be happen. He is still recovering from the surgery. The Vikings were among the teams that have expressed interest in the guard due to some of the trouble the Vikes had last season with the inside blocking game.
It looks like the rehab on Pitts knee is not going as well as he had planned to show off. We shall see how long it will be til he does show off his new restructured knee.
Til then...SKOL VIKINGS !!

Favre Watch 2010: Update
Brett Favre spoke not once, but twice this wee. By this much be some sort of a holiday this week to get this kind of coverage. Early this week, Favre told Al Jones of the Biloxi Sun-Herald that "I would love to go beat the Saints." It seems that Favre is workout out pretty regulary, like bike eight miles a day. When I saw that I was like holy crap, that is pretty good for a 40 year old. What is he doing getting ready for the 2011 Tour De France.
Everyone knows that Favre WANTS to repay the Saints a visit to what they did not him last season in the NFC Title Game. With the Saints defense trying to kill Favre with the remember me hit. I am sure that Favre will remember them alright. I have been among the many Viking bloggers that is so sure that Favre will be back in purple for Season number 20.
With this statement, everyone was so sure that he was undoubtedly coming back. He issued this statement to Al Jones again. It stated that he has no clue if he was coming back. He claims he would like to know. What does that mean? Is this the onset of a multipersonality disorder.
It is more than likely that Favre has told the front office about his plans this season, the team as a whole does not know just yet.If Favre would have told the Vikes that he was coming back right away, I for one would have been kind of nervous.
So let the speculation continue for at least another month and half, it sure will be a fun ride.

Williams Wall Susension Update
With the NFL continuing to try to suspended the Williams Wall for 4 games over the past couple of years. It looks like that Viking fans still need to worry. because the Wall is nor through the clear for this season anyway.
According to the Star Tribune:
According to the Star Tribune:
Minnesota Vikings Kevin and Pat Williams are likely to play most if not all of the 2010 NFL season because of a ruling from the state Court of Appeals in their lawsuit over their four-game suspensions for taking a banned diuretic. This is getting as bad as the Favre drama that we get every season. It just seems like that there will be no end to this case of the Williams Wall vs the NFL. I think that Phat Pat will be done this season, thus he will not have to serve a suspension if one is EVER handed down.

Webb Getting Hyped Up
With the QB position is great doubt if Favre does not return for his 20th season. There one particular QB in camp that has been turning quite a few head. Joe Webb was drafted as a WR, but played well at QB in college. He has been taking snaps with the 2nd team in a recent training camp. For his career at UAB, Webb had 5,771 passing yards and 2,774 rushing yards for a total of 8,545 offensive yards. Webb also registered 37 passing touchdowns, 24 rushing touchdowns and four receiving scores. Now that would be a dangerous weapon behind center. I remember being excited about T-Choke as well, but we shall see.
There has been chatter that he could be the QB of the Future from many sources.I for one can see it he is a natural when taking the ball from the center. That is only 50 percent of the game. The other 50 percent is hoe you can handle the NFL Beast. The NFL Beast is handling the pressure from the media. The expectations from the fans and the front office. It will be interesting to see if Webb is the guy of the future(Brady) or the next burn out.

Favre Is Still Not Talking
With Brett still trying to keep everything quiet about his ankle surgery. As everyone expected him not to stay anything for another couple of months. But the doctors are talking about his ankle surgery though.
Noted surgeon James Andrews told the Associated Press that Favre's surgery went well and the quarterback has a few more weeks of rehabilitation before he will decide if he will return for a 20th season in the NFL.I still think that Chilly knows that Favre will be back for his 20th season as a QB. With the kind of a season that he had last year, he will be back in the Beloved Purple.I still say Favre will miss the first 2 preseason game and ta-da the knight in armor will come the Vikes with average QB staff at best.

Viking News
I am sorry by fellow followers about my extended absence. I have been out of town to visiting with my wife's fam to show off the new lil Vikings fan that is a mere 3 weeks old. I hope that everyone can forgive me..:) As I see that missed some big Vikings news, I will be highlighting some of the important stuff.
It looks like Sage"the copter" Rosenfels has falling to the bottom of the depth chart in the Vikes recenting training camp. He came into being in the top 3, but not anymore.Rookie R.J. Archer took omore reps then Sage in the end of the 3 day camp. But Chilly is saying that the caoches are trying to expose the QBs to different situations.
Right at this moment, T-Jack is the 1 QB on the team..well that is until the Grey Fix make his announcement.
Edward signs his Herbie Hancock. Ray Edwards made it official and signed with the Vikes for a reported one year contract worth $2.521 million. It looks like that other DE will be a Viking for one more season.
Edwards is still not a happy camper after the CBA did not allow his rack in the bucks he thought that we deserves.
With 2010 uncapped years for restricted free agents read like this: Players with four and five credited seasons who in an uncapped 2010 season would be restricted free agents.
It is going to be interesting to see if the Players' Union and the NFL can work out a deal before next season.
Peterson absent this past weekend. Now the people will be wondering if AD is trying to get a BIG contract with the Vikes by holdout. AD thought is was better to go to a parade down in Texas instead of going to work. With this happening Chilly "can" fine AD up to 10,000 for missing the camp. I would be shock if Chilly does. I do not think Chilly has it in him in the first place.
That is about all the BIG news that I have from the Vikings nation in enemy territory.I will let you guys kbow if there are any other happening in the Viking news.

Need Some Time To Kill
With the SLOW NFL offseason upon us. There is no new Madden yet, so what is there to do besides listen to the clueless ESPN "analysts" asking every Viking about Favre.
Our friend the Jazzy One over at The Viking Ship has the right medicine for ya. Here has a Flag Football game for you to play around with. I is like the good ol Techno Bowl days. If you are fan of that era is is more than worth a try.
I hope that everyone enjoys it:)

Peterson Workin' On It
With it being so obvious that team were going after the ball last season with his fumbling issues. This what he has been working so hard on this past off season.Adrian Peterson want nothing more than to help his team to the big show and not hinder it.He wants to be know more than a running that runs so hard, but lacks ball control. It just seemed to me that he fumbled last season at the LEAST opportune times.
He has been one of my favorite running backs since he was a Sooner. I was thrilled when the Vikes drafted him. Sometimes he drives me crazy when he fumbles the ball away. I for one hope that his offseason work has paid off greatly.
The running backs carried a 14-pound football filled with sand during one drill that the network showed. Reporter Solomon Wilcots described it as the football version of a medicine ball, designed to help the running backs get a better feel for the football and presumably help reduce fumbles.
With the mandatory mini camp coming up this weekend. Chilly want AD to work on his fumbling issue. I just hope that it all works out and he has done enough this offseason to merit more trust from Chilly.
Last season, nobody will say, but there were some trust issues with AD and Chilly with AD carrying the ball down the stretch of a close game. I hope to see AD run out some games with more confidience in him from the coaching staff.

The Tweets Duel Saga
With the recent twitter war going on between Darren Sharper and Visanthe Shiancoe over the past week or so.
Now with these wart or wor.d..um I mean tweets. It was kid of obvious that Shanks did step out of bounce for this sweet. But it sure did get Sharper a little huffy. Now with this getting a little political now in the duel.It will be interesting to see how far these 2 enemies go.
Just remember Sharper who started this war of tweets, not Shanks. Just remember do not insult the QB and then your feeling will not be hurt.
In response to Shiancoe's posting of an image of Osama bin Laden saying, "I'm Darren Sharper," Sharper had this to say: "ok homeboy you done went too far, making me out to be something that has brought this country alot of heartache. Imma bust you right under your chinstrap from the first play on. I don't care about the fine. F the money Imma do it for the red, white & blue. And you'll see me cuz I'll be dressed in black & gold. Protect your neck that's all the warning you get."Source from: PFT
